A Glimpse Into Pittcon 2021 - A Successful Collaboration

31 Mar, 2021 | Labroots

As an industry leader in the virtual space for over a decade, LabRoots has always faced challenges head-on, ready to deliver exceptional events. When the association from Pittcon Conference & Expo approached us, it was no different.

Pittcon is usually a massive, physical tradeshow that takes place in different locations throughout the United States annually, with more than 10,000 attendees. When faced with the dilemma of how to tackle their tradeshow for the 2021 calendar year (as many associations have), Pittcon quickly turned to LabRoots. They were interested in providing an innovative, state-of-the-art experience that delivered a high-level of value to registrants. Luckily for them, this is our area of expertise. As a leader in the virtual event and webinar space with a growth mindset, LabRoots has continued to turn these uncertain times into opportunities for our customers, time and time again. By bringing the client’s vision to light, and delivering a seamless production of the event, LabRoots is excited to host with more associations in the future.

With extremely high levels of engagement, it is undeniable that this was a successful event, but we’ll let Pittcon 2021’s statistics speak for themselves:

  • Total Content Views: 213,975
  • Total Webinar Views: 32,764
  • Total Booth Visits: 98,899

The 5-day Live Event offered registrants and exhibitors something they had never experienced before. Through strategic navigation, tactical scheduling, and the development of multiple unique components, Pittcon 2021 was filled with an abundance of content. Every piece of information in the event was thought through when it came to how it was delivered to attendees, with a personalized spin, of course.

Originally intended to occur in New Orleans, our production team incorporated cityscapes and musical components that truly captured the feeling of entering a building in the heart of NOLA.

At LabRoots, we are experts in organizing and presenting a massive amount of content in a way that provides a sense of practicality to registrants, while maintaining the value of each asset. With what could have been an overwhelming amount of information if displayed improperly, our production and design teams knew that the navigation components used could make or break this event. Strategic navigation is no problem for us at LabRoots. A surplus of navigation videos, a detailed Final Program, and a user-focused site map were created, keeping user experience front of mind.

Content organization did not stop there for this event. In fact, Pittcon 2021 had nearly 200 exhibitor booths with countless topics. To present these booths in a tactical manner, our production and design teams created Sub Expo Rooms. Attendees were able to find what they were looking for within a couple of clicks. A similar story for the Poster Hall, 300 posters were organized in a clever way by category. All posters were collected, approved or denied, and uploaded with a real time chat capability by members of the LabRoots’ team, a huge weight off our client’s shoulders.

Engagement can often be a worry for clients as they begin to move in the direction of hosting an event or webinar virtually. For this reason, LabRoots is constantly incorporating and brainstorming new and innovative ways to encourage networking, and communication within the event. Pittcon 2021 offered 54 scheduled opportunities to network, including specific sessions, affinity mixers, expo events, and more! If attendees were not interested in chatting, the gamification leaderboard allowed attendees to check their point status against others (another subtle way LabRoots made attendees feel a part of a group).

With today’s universal shift to the virtual space, our team at LabRoots remains excited, hopeful, and determined to grow with our clients. Pittcon 2021 was an accomplishment for both the client and LabRoots. Attendees were enthralled and left the event gaining more than they ever would have expected from an event, let alone a virtual event. A leader in the virtual event industry, and already positioned for success, LabRoots is excited to help you and your association navigate the virtual world.
