ASM Microbe 2017 is heading back to New Orleans, LA June 1–5, 2017, and LabRoots will be there! ASM Microbe is set to highlight microbial sciences from around the world and provides the opportunity for attendees to explore microbiology from basic science to translation and application. In addition to a fantastic line-up of speakers scheduled over the 5-day conference, the keynote speaker will be one to watch. NASA Astronaut and Molecular Biologist Kate Rubins will discuss “Science in Extreme Environments: Building Extraterrestrial and Earth-Based Research Capabilities.” Dr. Rubins became the first person to sequence DNA in space on Expedition 48/49, where she spent 115 days in space and conducted two spacewalks. lets-go-streaking-womens-shirtThe LabRoots team always enjoys this event.
