A Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Series

Promega, a manufacturer of enzymes and other products for biotechnology and molecular biology, with a portfolio covering the fields of genomics, protein analysis and much more, will launch A Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Series, November 5, 2020. The first session in this series is something that you will not want to miss.

This virtual series launches its first session at 10:00 AM CST on November 5, 2020. It will serve as an opportunity for you to learn more about Microsatellite Instability (MSI). MSI characterization has been routinely performed for almost two decades to identify genomic instability associated with Lynch Syndrome.

In Session 1 of the Virtual Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Series, Promega’s speakers will discuss:

  • The history, techniques, and current trends of MSI testing
  • Different testing strategies for MSI and mismatch repair deficiency
  • The rapid advancement in research around MSI as a pan tumor biomarker for immunotherapeutic response
  • Why MSI status is an increasingly relevant tool in genetic- and immune-oncology, and why it should be a universal testing approach

Recently, MSI testing has expanded to become a pan tumor biomarker associated with response to immune checkpoint inhibitors. The first session will compare and contrast the characteristics of laboratory assays used to test for microsatellite instability in solid tumor, define Key advantages of Long Mononucleotide Repeats (LMRs) in detecting microsatellite instability, and much more.

Promega looks forward to having you join A Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Series. The first session has three speakers that have been approved for Continuing Education Credits.
